I’m Sarah Archer, founder of Story Led Marketing, and I’m here to give you a simple, effective strategy based on a new way of marketing that uses one of your most powerful assets to make you more sales without selling. Imagine how much time and frustration you would save if you had a clear system and plan to follow that brought your dream customer to you in a way that gave you power and authority, rather than you feeling desperate and pushy? That’s what I’m here to help you achieve.
Over the past three years, I’ve been combining my 18+ years of experience in comedy, storytelling, and writing, with my business background to help hundreds of people create powerful stories to grow their business. And don’t worry if you believe you’re not creative, or you don’t have any stories to share, I’ll be showing you that you don’t need to be and yes, you have!
We have created six pieces of value packed content that will help you get more results with your marketing. Start at '1', go through each and there's something special in number 6... enjoy!
You’re at a networking event feeling equally excited and nervous, only half listening to everyone else’s pitch, because you’re still running yours through your head. You spent ages the day before writing it… making sure you got all the features and benefits in AND a call to action.
Then you hear your name called!

Your heart is beating like a bongo at a salsa club, your throat tightens but you power through and deliver your pitch anyway… you remember it all and you’re pleased with yourself until…
… you look around and see faces that are either blank or confused or bored!

It can be soul destroying…knowing you have a great product or service but not being able to get the attention of your dream customer or get them to understand what you do or see the value of what you offer.
Has that happened to you?
It’s happened to me!
When I started my first business in 2010...
In 2011 my business failed because I didn’t understand the secrets to marketing and selling.

I thought I was doing all the right things… I went on sales training courses, I put myself out there, but nothing was working consistently.

I thought “it must be me”! So… when an old boss called to offer me a job back in the corporate world, I went back with my tail between my legs… but vowed to find out what had gone wrong.

Before I returned to my corporate job, I’d booked to go on a business conference, and having spent the money on a ticket I decided that I’d go anyway.

At this conference there were 1000s of business owners all eager to find a shortcut to success…

All of us were excited when the first speaker came on stage… and we weren’t disappointed.

In today’s digital world your stories are one of the most powerful tools you have to break through the noise, reach your ideal customer and make your business stand out. Using Story Led Marketing you can use them at every stage of the customer acquisition journey to guide them from not knowing you through to building trust and converting them into a buyer of your products or services.
To be successful in business and story led marketing you need three essential ingredients. These are what I call 'The Big 3' and they provide the foundational clarity you need to get your message clear and get it to the right people, but so often people miss them out and that is why businesses fail...
I believe there are three pillar stories you need to be successful in business and for effective story-led marketing, and these are:
  •  Your Hero Customer Before
  •  Your Origin Story
  •  Your Hero Customer After
Here is an exclusive preview of one of the first episodes from my new Story-Led Marketing Podcast (launching in February 2019) that goes into more detail about the first story you need to nail, including the steps to get there.

Keep an eye out for the new podcast, as myself, and other guests will be giving you tips, tricks and strategies to help you continue on your journey to build the business of your dreams using story-led marketing.
Why the big ‘hoo-haa’ about using Video in Your Business… and What’s Possible with an Idea, an iPhone and Four Hours?
I woke up on the morning of 27th December 2018 with an idea.

That’s not a bad thing in and of itself... it’s just that it was only 3 am and after spending Christmas night sleeping on a couch, being disturbed by a sick baby and a grumbling dog, my festive cheer had taken a nose dive, and I wasn’t best pleased that my brain had decided to disrupt another night of slumber!

I tried to ignore it and get back to sleep but my brain wasn’t having any of it. It was buzzing with the possibility of creating a video to use as an advert for a special offer we’d put together for our company launch, based on a film I’d watched on Christmas Eve. I started writing the script and planning the storyboard out in my head, but I knew it would have to be done quickly and I wasn’t sure we’d have the time…and that’s when the doubt started creeping in.

I’ve talked myself out of many ideas, but I just felt this would work… so I focused on my new mantra of taking ‘imperfect action’ and as soon as the clock hit a reasonable hour, I went to tell my partner about my crazy idea…

Before we go any further I want to manage your expectations, so that we’re on the same page, and you get maximum results for your business.

Story Led Marketing is not a magic wand.
Whilst you won’t have to ‘sell’ in the traditional sense, getting results with Story Led Marketing still requires you to be proactive and committed to investing time in building your business. This isn’t a way to get rich quick, it is a way to focus your marketing efforts in a strategic way, leveraging your stories to better connect with prospects and guide them to the sale…but it still requires you to take action. That is something I can’t do for you.

Story Led Marketing will not work unless you have clarity around your target customer and offer.
An important part of my coaching focuses on getting foundational clarity on your ideal customer and on your offer. I think of it like fishing… you need to understand what fish you want to catch and then work out if your bait is right for that fish, then you need to work out where you can catch them. Otherwise you can waste a lot of time trying to catch a fish you don’t want, in the wrong place, with a bait they’re not interested in any way!

You do not need to be creative or a natural born storyteller to win clients with stories.
Finding and using stories in marketing is something that everyone can learn. There are tools, formulas and techniques that writers, speakers and performers use to generate and create powerful stories that captivate, connect and convert, and you can learn how to use these too.
You’ve had the low down, so I guess now you’ve got some options:

Option #1: You could do nothing. You could carry on ‘selling’ in the old way, feeling rejected, sleazy and pushy, but I know you don’t want that, otherwise you wouldn’t have landed here, or read this far. I think you want to make a change.

Option #2: You could click off and look for other answers on the web. There is loads of information out there, some of it good, some of it down right shocking! But why would you spend time searching when I’ve put together everything you need right here in blogs, podcasts and other resources.

Option #3: You can take action right now. If you want to make a change then a good place to start is your elevator pitch, so that you've got a great answer when someone says..."so what do you do". Opportunities to create customers or strategic alliances can come anytime and anyplace and you need to be ready. To help you I've written a book on pitching, called 'Straight to the Top' with some great case studies and examples and for a limited time I'm giving it away for FREE! (Not only that but you get some sweet, sweet bonuses.) go get the book!. Imagine the difference it will make having conversations with people who actively want to work with you because your message has reached them and resonated with them.

The book is free, so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Go ahead and check it out now!

We’d love to share more insights, guidance, tools and tips with you on all aspects of Story-Led Marketing, and how you can use stories to grow your brand and business.

"This course changed me forever. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stretch their professional
ability to present.”
Sadie Harries, Sharp Consulting Ltd.
"Before I did the Stories for Sales Bootcamp I was having difficulty getting to grips with what my message was and what my business values were. It helped me a lot in setting out what my story was and thinking about the reasons I set up my own business. I’d recommend the course to anyone who is struggling with the story behind their business.
