I Learnt the Hard Way...but You Don't Have to!
How I Discovered the Secret to a Great Pitch...
When I started my first business in 2010, I felt so excited. I had my plan, a shiny website and some sweet business cards. I found some local business networking events and went armed with my business cards, and a 50 second pitch filled with all the features and benefits of my stuff.
I was ready to sell baby!

I told them all about my stuff, all the features and benefits … and nothing. I felt crushed… and every time I did my pitch, and nothing happened a bit more of my confidence got chipped away.

I went on some sales training, to try and fix it. After that I started using all the techniques, asking questions, magnifying their pain, soft closes… and then the hard close, and although it got me a couple of customers, it felt kind of sleazy and pushy.

Six months on I had just a handful of clients… and they weren’t people I really wanted to work with. I was sad, frightened and frustrated, I knew that my savings from leaving corporate were running out and there wasn't enough coming in...and I realised my dream of having more freedom to be with my daughter and doing what I was passionate about was slipping away. Then I got a call from an old boss offering me a job…I didn’t want to go back to the corporate world…but I felt scared and like I just couldn’t get through to people, so I said yes, and felt like a failure.

Just after I went back to a 9-5 job, I went to a business conference and it was there, listening to the platform speakers who had people rushing to the back of the room, that I discovered the secret to pitching and selling... and that is using hooks and stories. I was upset that this hadn't come before I'd given up, but it fired me up to try again. I spent the next few years studying storytelling, marketing, influencing and sales, and using these skills working on the side, because I knew that when I left corporate the next would be for good and I was determined not to fail again... and this time round...I made 10x in my first month what I made in the six months I'd had my business before. 

So many people end up settling for less… lowering their expectations of themselves and their business, or even giving up like I did, because they can’t get their message heard and actioned upon by the right people. The people who will love what they have to offer.

That’s because they don’t understand the journey that they have to take their buyer on, and how to use their pitch to connect powerfully with their target customer’s problem and pain.

I don't want that for you. I want you to be able to identify your customer’s pain and objections, to understand how to connect powerfully with your customer, so that you can quickly and easily create the right pitch that creates 'aha' moments and will win you more sales.

Over the last four years, I’ve been working with clients to help them create and deliver their stories for use in elevator and investor pitches, presentations, webinars, web copy, blogs, articles and video scripts. I’ve authored two books on speaking and pitching and now I’ve developed this course to give support you in creating and delivering stand out pitches, so that you can increase your confidence, grow your sales and keep your dreams alive!

Stand Out Pitching Bootcamp
I’ve developed this bootcamp in a way that will build your confidence and pitch in stages. It will allow you to get invaluable feedback from me and other business owners and it culminates in a live workshop where you'll get coaching on how to deliver your pitch in an engaging and powerful way. 
Part One – Hot Seat Insights 
In this online session, one week before the live workshop, each student will get valuable feedback and insight from myself and their peers, on their product or service.
You’ll learn:
  • where you need to make things clearer and more relatable
  • any mismatch between what problem you think you’re solving and what others think
  • what might be stopping potential customers from saying ‘yes’ to buying your product or service
Part Two – Teaching the Framework 
In this video training session, I will be teaching you the ingredients for a killer pitch and the worksheet will guide you through creating your first draft.
You’ll learn:
  •  the framework for creating stand out pitches
  • how to find ‘hooks’
  •  the steps to put your pitch together 
Part Three – Feedback on Your Pitch: 
Here you’ll get bullet point feedback from me on your draft pitch ahead of the live workshop, so that you can make tweaks where necessary. 
Part Four – The ‘Live’ Workshop
In this workshop you will get coaching on delivering your pitch and your public speaking skills. You will have the opportunity to present your pitch to the group and get feedback and coaching on what works well and what could be improved from a content and delivery perspective. You will then have the opportunity to revise and practice your pitch before you deliver it for the final time to the group.
